Rose Ember has (of course) got me curious! I’ve been enjoying all things citrus the summer and especially Jo Malone’s Mimosa and Cardamom. I know some feel it’s a bit too powdery, but it reminds me of sun-drenched summer days while on vacation when I’m actually in the midst of central California foggy summer days! 🍊

Ah, naturally! I haven't stopped thinking about it and can't wait to try some of the others from the collection. Oh delish! I do like Jo Malone but the scents disappear on my skin within moments. English oak & hazelnut was a favourite. I shan't give up though - the new amber labdanum cologne is firmly on my hit list

I’m desperate to try Peach’s Revenge, despite not being particularly into fruit scents, the description just sounds too good! The weather has been so weird here this summer that I haven’t really been able to settle on a summer fragrance like in previous years (last year was Santa Maria Novella’s Magnolia which is just the prettiest, delicate floral) however I haven’t just finished my bottle of Norfolk Natural Living’s Midsummer 24 which is such a delicious fig! Not too juicy and not too green - perfect for a non-fruit gal like me! Have you tried Marc Antoine Barrois Tilia?

There is a mini peach trilogy sample pack available on her website and it is always worth having a look on eBay for samples. I don't believe you need to settle on a fragrance, be a floozy! I haven't tried any of the Barrois fragrances but I will be heading to Harrods to immerse myself in a few soon (sandwiched between various meetings nearby). They all sound so interesting x

Loved reading this, thank you Amie.

Like Tamara, Rose Ember has intrigued me and I also loved the idea of Lily of the Valley crunching under your pony’s hooves, what a scent that would be! Have you come across Ffern yet? They’re a small perfume house based in Somerset and producing a quarterly subscription perfume that smells gorgeous and always has a lovely story woven around the inspiration for each perfume,

Thank you so much for reading it, Emma!

Yes I know Ffern quite well! I actually interviewed them recently for an upcoming feature. I have their Autumn 23 but managed to carve out some time to snoop in the archives and Autumn 21 and Spring 24 (an ode to rhubarb) were my winners. A lovely brand

How lovely, that must have been so interesting, I’ll look out for the feature coming out. I put their perfume in my shepherd huts for guests to try as we’re based in Somerset - just gave me an excuse to keep buying it and discovering the new scents really ;-)

Sounds like the perfect excuse!

I’m a fresh, green fragrance kinda girl (despite being a florist!), on the lookout for a new perfume to rival my 2 go to’s. I look forward to your next list of recommendations!

Thank you so much for reading. Perhaps the fresh green is an escape from the ordinary! What are the two you are loving at the moment?

My trusty Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte and Chance Eau Fraiche. Any green and fresh recommendations would be very welcome.
